Who is Adam Taylor?
Adam Taylor is a playwright from Watford. He has a degree in English with Film Studies from King's College London and a Masters degree in Text and Performance from King's and RADA.
Adam gained a place on Paines Plough's Future Perfect 2009 and subsequently has had work shown at Soho Theatre, The Unicorn, North Wall Oxford, the Latitude Festival and the Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance. Adam performed a monologue for Paines Plough's Come to Where I'm From at Watford Palace Theatre in 2010.
Adam is a member of comedy collective Bubble and Squeak with whom he has written and performed his own monologues at The Hen and Chickens in Islington. He also wrote a short play for nabokov’s Present:Tense at Watford Palace in June 2011. In May 2012 Adam was commissioned to write a forty-five minute play for Strode’s College, Egham.
When he is not writing plays Adam produces his own hip hop/rap music and performs spoken word poetry. His most recent play, The Gambler in collaboration with Theatre Re, has been staged at The Roundhouse, The Space, Jackson’s Lane, RADA and The Cockpit Theatre. The Gambler was at The Pleasance Edinburgh for the duration of the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
